Teaching methods prevailing among male and female English language teachers in ThiQar governorate\Iraq

Abstract

Educational institutions are important in the progress of peoples and nations and organizing the educational situation requires teaching methods and methods that lead to the development of the learning ability of learners to develop their mental and cognitive abilities. There is one teaching method that is better suitable for all educational situations. The research aims to identify the prevailing teaching methods of English language teachers in Thi- Qar Governorate for the academic year 2022/2023. The questionnaire was applied to a sample of 200 teachers and schools and statistical methods were used to analyze the responses of the research sample. The results were multiple. Teaching methods used in teaching English by male and female teachers. The lecture method ranked first and most commonly in English language teaching, followed by the discussion method, then problem solving, and finally the exploration method
