Abstract

The research is concerned with a historical study of Al-Harithi, who is mistakenly attributed to a Jewish poet named Samawal, No question was raised about the origin of these poems because of their common circulation in the image of error in the Iraqi textbooks. Everything that we read and memorize is not the essence of truth and certainty, but rather is the result of the collective memory formed from the cultural, literary and religious present from the sacred past. The research provides a definition of the poet AlHarithi and his life. And his poetry, and the analysis of his Al- Lamaic poem attributed to him based on the style and content of the poem included clarifying the error of its affiliation with the poet Samwal, then the conclusion and mentioning the references.
